The Man Lung Garden was set up on the HKBU campus in 2000, thanks to a donation of HK$2 million by Dr. Wu Yee-sun, founder of Wing Lung Bank and ¡§the Sage of Penjing¡¨. The establishment of Wu Yee Sun Penjing Foundation Fund greatly supports the development of Penjing (artistic pot plant) as an art form. The Garden not only enhances the cultural ambience of the campus enormously, but also helps instill the benefits of the University¡¦s Whole Person Education in our students. The Penjings displayed in the Garden were generously donated by Dr. Wu Yee-sun, Sha Tin Bonsai Association, Hong Kong Bonsai International Society, Mr. Lui Shu-ying, Mr. Zuo Biu and Mr. Fan Sheung-tak. The Man Lung Garden is located at the University¡¦s Kam Shing Road entrance, Ho Sin Hang Campus, and is open daily to the public.

This year, HKBU is participating again in the Hong Kong Flower Show organised by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department to be held in Victoria Park from 16 to 25 March. Eight of the miniature masterpieces selected from Man Lung Garden will be exhibited at the show (please click here to view them). Staff and students are welcome to visit the HKBU booth at the show.

For enquiries, please contact the University Advancement Office at the extension no. 2103.
