Man Lung Garden Penjings to be
exhibited at
Hong Kong Flower Show 2013

The
Man Lung Garden was set up on the HKBU
campus in 2000 with a donation of HK$2 million by Dr. Wu Yee-sun,
founder of Wing Lung Bank and ¡§the Sage of Penjing¡¨, for the
establishment of the Wu Yee Sun Penjing Foundation Fund to
support the development of Penjing (artistic pot plant) as an
art form. The Garden enhances the cultural ambience of
the campus enormously, which echoes
the University¡¦s philosophy of Whole Person Education. The Penjings displayed in the Garden were generously donated by Dr.
Wu Yee-sun, Sha Tin Bonsai Association, Hong Kong Bonsai
International Society, Mr. Lui Shu-ying, Mr. Zuo Biu and Mr. Fan
Sheung-tak. The Man Lung Garden is located at the University¡¦s
Kam Shing Road entrance, Ho Sin Hang Campus, and is open daily to
the public.
This year, HKBU is participating again in the Hong Kong Flower
Show organised by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department
to be held in Victoria Park from 15 to 24 March. Ten of the
miniature masterpieces selected from Man Lung Garden will be
exhibited at the show (please click here for
viewing). Staff and students are most welcome to visit
the HKBU booth at the show.

showground in Victoria Park throughout the show period from
15 to 24 March 2013.
