香港浸會大學第四屆高爾夫球日已於二零零七年十二月七日假粉嶺香港哥爾夫球會圓滿舉行，並由校長吳清輝教授、活動籌委會主席呂元祥博士，聯同冠名贊助機構代表金城營造集團主席兼行政總裁王國強太平紳士一同主持開球禮。       是次活動為浸大發展基金籌得港幣七十五萬元。九十多位參加者分為二十三隊作賽，多家知名工商及慈善機構均組隊參賽，包括駿豪集團、恒生銀行、胡百全律師事務所、中華電力有限公司、呂元祥建築師事務所、曾植桂堂慈善基金有限公司及伍宜孫慈善基金會有限公司等；各界翹楚包括前校董會暨諮議會主席鄭慕智博士、李家祥博士、李少光局長、丁午壽太平紳士、田北辰太平紳士，以及浸大諮議會成員鄭成業先生、梁永祥校友、蘇永乾校友等。此外，校長吳清輝教授、副校長（學術）陸大章教授、副校長（研究及拓展）蔡亞從教授、協理副校長（特別項目）傅浩堅教授及教職員均積極支持是項高球活動。 　　本屆高爾夫球日取得令人鼓舞的成果，實有賴各界友好的鼎力支持，包括參賽者、贊助者、捐款人、籌委會成員、教職員及校友等，謹此向所有曾參與及支持是項活動的友好致以衷心謝意。並希望大家能繼續參與來年舉行的高爾夫球日，以及浸大所舉辦的各項籌款活動，支持大學的未來發展。

The HKBU – Kum Shing Group Golf Day 2007 was held with great success on 7 December 2007 at the Eden Course of the Hong Kong Golf Club in Fanling.  The annual event raised HK$750,000 for the HKBU Development Fund. Officiating at the ceremonial tee-off were Professor Ng Ching-Fai, GBS, President and Vice-Chancellor; Dr. Ronald Lu, Chairman of the Organising Committee of HKBU Golf Day; and Title Sponsor of this year’s golf day, Ir. Peter Wong, JP, Group Chairman and CEO of Kum Shing Group. The enthusiastic support that Golf Day enjoys from University staff and alumni as well as business and community leaders is reflected in its participation rate, with over 90 players taking part.   Prominent organizations joining the event include the Mission Hills Group, Hang Seng Bank, P. C. Woo & Co., CLP Power Hong Kong Ltd., Ronald Lu & Partners (HK) Ltd., the Tsang Chik Kwai Tong Charitable Foundation Ltd. and the Wu Yee Sun Charitable Foundation Ltd.   Dignitaries lending their support  include Dr. Moses Cheng, OBE, JP, Ex - Council and Court Chairman, Dr. Eric K. C. Li, GBS, JP, Mr. Ambrose Lee, Mr. Kenneth Ting, SBS, JP and Mr. Michael Tien, BBS, JP, HKBU Court Member Mr. Cheng Sing Yip, Alumnus William Leung Wing Cheung, JP, and Alumnus Wing-Kin So.   The tournament was particularly convivial due to the participation of Professor Ng Ching-Fai, President and Vice-Chancellor; Professor Franklin Luk, Vice-President (Academic), Professor  Ah Chung Tsoi, Vice-President (Research & Institutional Advancement) and Professor Frank Fu, Associate Vice-President (Special Projects). This annual event owes its success to the strong support shown by participants, sponsors, donors, Organising Committee members, staff, students, alumni and HKBU friends.  We should like to express our sincere gratitude to them all and look forward to their continued support for the University and for the HKBU Golf Day 2008.
