Naming Ceremony of the
Dr. Wu Yee Sun Lecture Theatre

Over the years, the unstinting support given to the University by Dr. Wu Yee Sun, the founder of Wing Lung Bank, during his lifetime has been an enormous encouragement to us as well as a precious source of strength in our development. In a typically generous and imaginative gesture during our early challenging years, Dr. Wu Yee Sun, who was acclaimed as the Sage of Penjing, contributed 10,000 copies of his authoritative book, "Man Lung Artistic Pot Plants", to the University, with the sales proceeds used to establish the Wu Yee Sun Education Fund.

The donations made in the past three decades by Dr. Wu Yee Sun and the Wu Yee Sun Charitable Foundation Limited have been of incalculable value to the University. @This generosity has included support for the construction of the Wing Lung Bank Building for Business Studies and the student residence halls, the establishment of the Wing Lung Bank International Institute for Business Development, Man Lung Garden and the launch of the Campus Greening Project.

Recently, the University has received a donation of HK$5 million from Wu Yee Sun Charitable Foundation Limited designated for the Dr. Wu Yee Sun Memorial Scholarship Fund, the Dr. Wu Yee Sun Chinese Medicine International Promotion Fund and the Dr. Wu Yee Sun Service Learning Project for BBA Students.  In order to show our deep appreciation for this donation, Room 209 of Lam Woo International Conference Centre on Shaw Campus will be named the Dr. Wu Yee Sun Lecture Theatre.
