Cheque Presentation Ceremony for Donations by

Moon Valley Foundation and

Art Concept International Culture Studies Foundation

In recognition of the generous donations of $500,000 by the Moon Valley Foundation and of $200,000 by the Art Concept International Culture Studies Foundation, a Cheque Presentation Ceremony was held on 8 November 2006. Officiating guests were Mr. Michael Hotung, Founder Chairman of the Moon Valley Foundation; alumna Katie Hotung, Member of the Executive Committee of the Moon Valley Foundation; Dr. Hung Hin-shiu, Chairperson of the HKBU 50th Anniversary Fund Raising Organising Committee; and Professor Ng Ching-fai, President and Vice-Chancellor. The ceremony was well attended by members and friends of the Moon Valley Foundation and staff of HKBU.

These donations will benefit not only the University but also the wider society. The Moon Valley Foundation donation will be used for our developments and for organising events with the School of Business and the School of Communication. The Art Concept International Culture Studies Foundation will be for a fund set up for activities supporting the Central Government’s campaign against corruption. Planned activities will include commemorative events honouring the late Premier Zhou Enlai and a photo exhibition about this outstanding figure in modern Chinese history.
