Man Lung Garden Penjings to be exhibited at

Hong Kong Flower Show 2009

To promote the historical art of penjing, HKBU is participating in the Hong Kong Flower Show 2009 organized by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department.  Ten miniature masterpieces selectively chosen from HKBU's Man Lung Garden are being exhibited at the show and its display has won the Special Award for Outstanding Exhibit (Local) this year.  Presenting Chinese herbal medicine to the public is the Society of Chinese Materia Medica from our School of Chinese Medicine.

The theme of this year's flower show is "Blossoming Welcome for the EAG" and its theme flower is "Cosmos".  The Opening Ceremony of the show was held on 13 March 2009.  Members of the University community are welcome to visit the HKBU booths at the Flower Show, which is open till 22 March 2009.

Opening Hours                 :        9:00 am – 9:00 pm

Venue                              :         Victoria Park, Hong Kong

Admission Fees                :       Adults      HK$14

    Children, students, senior citizens aged 60 or above and

                  persons with a disability     HK$7

                                                    From Monday to Friday (Except Public Holidays)

                                               -      Free admission for senior citizens and persons with a disability

                                               -      Adults in a group of 30 persons or above will be admitted at half rate
